"Meet Revolver" as a Beatles Tribute Band was formed in the spring of 2005.The Band members are Mitch Tiner (John), Mark Branson (George),Terry Yeager (Paul),Les Malinak (Ringo).As a group,They share over 95 years of Professional Experience.They perform a wide selection of Beatles Hits from 1963 to 1966,concluding with the Beatles "Revolver" Album.
Their show features the classic wardrobe (custom suits,boots,and hair),authentic British accents,as well as the same Vintage Guitars,Drums.Terry plays thru an original Vox AC50,T60.The amps are 1968 Vox Berkley's,They hope to upgrade some day.Strict attention to detail is paid vocally,musically,and visually in order to provide that true "Beatles Experience" for every performance large or small.
"Meet Revolver" did eighteen shows in 2006,Including Headlining the 2006 Neighbor Day Celebration at Riverfront Park,Pig out in the park,Spokane Washington.The Coeur d'Alene and Hayden Concert Series.Spokane County Interstate Fair,A Benefit Concert for Eastern State Hospital,As well as several major nightclubs,And Numerous Corporate and Private events.
In 2007 they did a guest segment on KHQ-TV Channel 6 local station.They performed in Washington State,Idaho,Montana, and Oregon.They performed again at the Spokane Interstate Fair by request.EWU University,Arbor Crest Winery,Montana Fair,A Benefit for the town of Cheney Washington."Valley Fest"City of Spokane Valley.They also performed Numerous private events.
Their schedule for 2008 is filling up fast for the band.Their goal is to perform as much as possible. Because These Guys like to Rock "Eight Days A Week"
Mitch Tiner (as John) was born in Sacramento Ca on Halloween 1964, He performed in the San Francisco boys choir at the age of 8.He Began to play Guitar at the age of 14,Then he began by performing in the High School Jazz Band.He performed in many different bands in California,Blues,Jazz,and Rock.He moved to Washington state in 1990 and performed in many Different Bands.The Henchmen,The Tickits,Hard Left,The Jokers,And Dads Gone Bad.
Mitch answered an ad that was placed in the paper back in the winter of 1992.The band was looking for a John Lennon type,Terry had placed the ad,And Mitch passed the Audition.So then it began.They've been playing Beatles Music together from the beginning.
Mitch's High energy and on stage antics Helps to bring the spirit and optimism of the early 60's and his great Impersonation of John Lennon back to life.
Mitch is also a working Artist and does special effects for low budget horror Movies.
Mark Branson (George) was born in Santa Clara Calif.Music is a big part of his as a child,His early influences were Kiss,Earth Wind and Fire,Tower of Power,Queen,Dobbie Brothers,Eagles.He Bought his first Guitar at the age of 15,A White Les Paul.Mark is self taught and started performing in his band at the age of 16.
Favorite Music was of course Rock,Heavy Metal.Some of his Favorite Guitar Players are EVH,Randy Roads,S.R.V and George Lynch.He Played lead guitar in local Bands in the Fremont Area of Cal.Till age 21.Like all of us he got Married and had a Child and put Music pursuits on hold four 4 years.After 5 years of Marriage he ended up divorcing and moved to CDA Idaho in 2000.
He performed Lead Guitar at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls ID for Three Years.He Played Lead Guitar In the Funk Band "Soul Proprietor" for abot a year.Mark has been Teaching Guitar at Music City in CDA since 2003.Mark is a Song Writer and Musician in CDA playing at Local music Venues.
Mark joined "Revolver" in the spring of 2007.Playing with three great Musicians Has been a Blast,And a great Learning Experience.Playing music Professionaly has been a great Blessing in his Life.
Terry Yeager (Paul) was born and raised in Spokane Washington.Being a Beatle fan at a very young age he Idolized Paul McCartney ,his favorite Beatle.He took up playing Bass in his early teens.He is a self taught Musician.He Mastered his Bass playing by playing along with Beatle Albums.
In the beginning he performed in many Country Western Bands,Then moved on to Rock.In 1986 He created "Revolver". The idea was to perform British music only.Different players came and went.His Band played the Bar scene for years.Then in 1992 he decided he wanted to perform Beatles music,He put ad's in the Local newspaper Seeking a John Lennon type.He already had a George and Ringo.Mitch Tiner answered the ad for the Lennon part.This carried on for sometime,Changing players was a constant problem.Still Terry and Mitch continued to perform Beatle Music.
Then came the spring of 2005 when they decided to try again.This time it worked.Terry Has worked very hard to try to capture Paul's Mannerism's and Vocals.Back in the mid 90's Terry got a call from California asking him if he would like to come to California and Audition for the Part of Paul in a Beatlemania show.Though he had to decline he was He was quit proud of this.
There is nothing he likes better than to strap on his 1966 Hofner and play the Music that changed the World.
Les Malinak (Ringo) was born in Spokane Washington.He began playing Drums at age Five And grew up in Sacramento California.
He joined the "Quails" as the youngest member in 1966.(Covering Beatle Songs),And a short time later his Band took fourth place in the Battle of the Bands.Competition Hosted by Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys at the Sacramento Civic Theatre.
By the early 1970's Les was Fortunate enough to have shared the stage with the likes of "Sam the Sham & the Pharoes.And with Merilee Rush and the Turnabouts.
By age 21,He was working as a Session Drummer laying Tracks for various Artists and doing projects around Spokane and the Inland Northwest.
From there he joined "Jump Street" A Seven piece Funk band out of Macon GA, That toured the Northwest and Canada from 1974 thru 75.A short time later Les again had the Opportunity to play in one of five supporting bands that opened for the Band "Heart" At an all day Rock Festival at Joe Albi Stadium.
Then Les took some time off from the Music Industry.He got married ,Became a Partner in a General Contracting Firm,And later became a Martial Arts Instructor.All the while ,Still playing Drums and Jamming with Friends for his own Enjoyment.
Fast forward to the spring of 2005 ,Les just happened to stop at an Estate Sale and sitting inside the garage was a Rare set of 1965 PC 980 Series Ludwig Drums with Black Diamond Pearl Finish ("The Ringo Set") which he purchased at an incredible price.Shortly there after,He saw an ad in a Local Newspaper that read "Seeking Ringo For Beatles Tribute Band".Call it Fate, He Auditioned,Liked the Concept,Found the other Members to be Extremely Talented and the rest is History.
Just Recently,Les was Quoted as Saying "It's pretty cool that I'm able to play the same Great Beatles Music that I started out playing so many years ago.It looks like my Music Career really has gone full Circle"
